Working with Custom Shades of London was a very easy experience. Vanessa Vitta
was professional and knowledgeable as to what I required, and answered all my questions.
She was great. Ben, the installer, also very professional, and did the installation on time
and also did a great job. I would highly recommend them both, as well as Custom Shades
of London.

We are super happy with our experience at Custom Shades. Vanessa, particularly, was excellent to work with. We really appreciated their willingness to bring product samples to our house, so we could be confident about our purchase. It's a big investment to redo blinds on an entire floor.

I have Hunter Douglas power honey comb blinds that I bought10 years ago. The store went out of business. When the clip and battery holder broke Custom Shades were so helpful. They gave me the clip and the batery holder to replace the old ones. Ben was super helpful as was Patty. Customer service was absolutely amazing. Strongly recommend the for shades and shutters

The best customer service in London!

The store is beautifully laid out, clean and organized. Patty and Sydney went completely out of their way to help me with a couple of used blinds I had.

The merchandise is first class! If you want to be tested with kindness, respect and interest, this is your store!

Enhancing Your French Doors

French doors offer a classic and elegant way to connect indoor and outdoor spaces, flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique design, however, can present challenges when it comes to window treatments.

At Custom Shades, we understand the specific needs of french doors and offer a curated selection of blinds and shades designed to complement their functionality and style. Our solutions ensure you can control light and privacy without compromising the aesthetic appeal of your french doors.

Choosing the Right Window Treatments for Your French Doors

Selecting the perfect window treatments for your french doors involves considering both aesthetics and functionality. Unlike standard windows, french doors often have handles that can interfere with traditional blinds or shades. At Custom Shades, we specialize in solutions that integrate seamlessly, allowing for full operation of your doors without obstruction. Our expertise ensures you find options that not only look beautiful but also enhance the usability of your french doors. For other door styles, see sliding glass doors and sidelights.

We offer a variety of styles designed specifically for french doors, including options that mount directly to the door frame, providing a sleek, custom fit. This approach keeps the treatments out of the way when the doors are open or closed, and prevents them from swinging when the doors are in use. Our custom measures service tailors each solution to your unique needs.

Consider the benefits of different materials and styles. For instance, faux wood blinds offer durability and moisture resistance, ideal for areas near entryways, while Roman shades provide a softer, more elegant look. For those seeking advanced features, motorized options are available, adding convenience and a modern touch to your french doors. You can learn more about smart home integration by exploring PowerView® Automation.

Ensuring your window treatments are child-safe is also a priority for many homeowners. We provide options with cord-free designs or safety mechanisms to give you peace of mind. Discover more about child-safe window treatments on our blog.
