Honeycomb Dual Shades

Two fabric shades, joined in the middle, adjustable for light control and privacy. The dual shade system for honeycomb shades often features a light filtering or sheer cellular shade in the top portion, with a room darkening or blackout fabric on the bottom portion. Each shade portion is capable of covering the entire window, so you can enjoy light filtering or room darkening. Adjust the dual shades so there is a balance of both shades on the window, and you can have filtered natural light with privacy.

Secondary Blackout Roller Shade

When homeowners hear dual shades, this is usually the version they think of: Two shades that share a headrail, using a secondary blackout roller shade for room darkening privacy. The front shade is responsible for sheer or light filtering views and glare reduction, not to mention this one is what everyone sees, offering beautiful design in the room. The two operate separately, so the front shade can be down by itself until you need to lower the blackout roller shade. The secondary shade can be lowered all the way, or just partially for adjustable light control.

Woven Shades with Secondary Cellular

In an exclusive move, Hunter Douglas has created an energy efficient, room darkening dual shade feature for woven wood shades. This system also features a beautiful front shade, capable of filtering soft light. The secondary shade is comprised of cellular structure. This honeycomb shade is meant to block light and heat, only lowering into place when necessary, and without taking away from the beauty of the woven woods.
